This week was a crazy amazing whirlwind…Brooke is back and with her came a gaggle of amazing S.O.U.L. members and some lovely newcomers. SO much happened this week and it wasn’t until today, Sunday, that I got a chance to take a breathe. I can’t wait to share what the past two weeks have been like…it was nothing less than magical and reminded me time and time again why I feel fortunate to be here…but for now here are just a few recent photos of life in Buja.
Nothing beats a refreshing swim in the Big Basin (Nile River), as Muganda calls it.It has been so amazing having my brother, Cass, around this past month. He has really taken a liking to teaching the S.O.U.L. preprimary kids…they absolutely adore him, and rightfully so! 🙂Finishing a sunset yoga session with some playful meditation!S.O.U.L. sends several letters to student sponsors each year, so this week we ran around to 34 schools and collected hand written letters from almost 300 S.O.U.L. students. A long but fun process! This is my friend Heidi’s student, Nansubugh Naume.A sew Sunday highlight is gathering flowers from the village and Mama Ali’s garden after a good road work (running) and yoga session on the Nile. It adds some great life (and free fund shui) to my room .
